A health talk on Jaundice and Hepatitis B was organized at Sera Jhe Monastery by Sera Jhe Health Care Committee at 9:30 am on 12^th June 2009 with the attendance of more than 2500 monks.

Dr. Raj Kumar Wadhwa, Chief Gastroenterologist, Vikram Jyothi, Mysore vividly explained the causes and effects of jaundice & Hepatitis B. Followed by advice and guidance on how to control and prevent it. His clear and sound explanations opened our eyes to many of the negative notions we have, especially of Hepatitis B. The committee hopes to hold more of these campaigns in the years to come for the benefit of the general monks at Sera Jhe Monastery.

Sera Jhe Health Care Committee organized dental training in the fourth week of May 2009 at the committee’s clinic which was participated also by therapists from Namdroling Monastery and S.O.S T.C.V School, Bylakuppe.
